5 people were “let go” from my workplace in the last 2 weeks. Even one employee (one of my filipina friends there
who was fired over an email fwd she sent out, after years of working there. And they dont just come to you or give you any kind of warning, what they usually do is while your on lunch or break they pack your stuff in a box and walk you out when you come back, like some cold heartless person. Here is another example from Kid’s (from Kid & Ruben) blog: “Last Wednesday (9/6) Corina was called into a meeting after her show was completed. She sat down and was immediately notified that Kiss FM was “going in another direction” and that “our relationship with you is no longer needed”. She was immediately escorted out of the building.”
That sucks! I now know that I would really prefer to work at a small business where they listen to you and if something needs change it can happen instantly, not some action plan to be created, your supervisor reviews it, then their manager, then their boss and that VP, then it gets reviewed after a few weeks and by that time the plan is so watered down its nothing.
So anyways I just felt like ranting today about working for big corporations. They do pay well but if your not in management then they sometimes treat you like your very replaceable and thats when you realize its time for a new job.

Sunday Night, May 28th – Monday, May 29th.
Well we had to save Vegas for last, otherwise we just might leave too broke to go anywhere!! We got there in about 4 hours, then spent 1 more hour driving 1 mile on the strip to our hotel. But Vegas was awesome!! Its like a whole other world there, people drinking on the streets, illegals handing out ads for ho’s, and slot machines everywhere (yes, even the gas stations).
After getting to our hotel we walked across the street to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino to catch a cab. While in line for a cab (about 15 minutes), we seen a girl passed out and not breathing in front and about 5 guys and a couple girls fighting outside. Welcome to Sin City huh?
My favorite store? - the 4 story M&M store, I love M&M’s!
Favorite restraunt? - Well we didnt eat too much there, but there was a Filipino Fast Food place in this Asian shopping center right on the strip!
Favorite sight? - The Balagio with the fountains and the music. They had a patroatic theme with Memorial Day too. Really Cool.
Favorite Casino? – Well they all seem the same to me inside, we did spend hte most time in the MGM Grand. Definetly cant wait till the next time we out there in Vegas!
Well that concludes our road trip. We made a stop at the Hoover Damn, and made it back in 4 hours. And if your interested, we drove over 1,300 miles and spent over $300 on gas, ahhh. Next big trip… NY and Florida, but that will be by plane
